Parkville’s signature holiday festival, Christmas on the River, will take place on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in historic downtown Parkville, Missouri. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

  • Fireworks: A winter holiday fireworks display over the Missouri River at approximately 8:45 PM. [1, 2]
  • Activities: Live music and youth choir performances, visits and photos with Santa Claus, and costumed holiday characters like the Grinch. [1, 2]
  • Shopping & Food: An outdoor Christmas market, specialty holiday vendors, hot chocolate, kettle corn, and extended open hours for downtown shops and restaurants. [1, 2]
  • Transportation: Free round-trip shuttle services running from the YMCA at 8875 Clark Avenue. [1]

  • Holiday Shop Hops: Downtown businesses will host special sip-and-shop evening strolls on Thursday, December 10 and Thursday, December 17, 2026.
