Laurel Hill Cemetery Stroll
April 26, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Explore Weston’s rich and colorful history with actors in the town’s oldest cemetery portraying the people who made Weston one of the most interesting towns in Missouri.
As you stroll through the historic Laurel Hill Cemetery, you’ll ‘meet’ some of the residents and hear the stories and tales of their lives. Early Missouri slaves and their descendants occupy a quarter section in the cemetery, making it one of only a few maintained slave cemeteries in Missouri. Union and Confederate soldiers can also be found, as well as four generations of Daniel Boone and Robert E. Lee descendants. Wandering musicians enhance the experience.
